Frequently Asked Questions
What kinds of projects does Envirographics take on?
Significant public and private developments across the United States and worldwide — from boutique restaurant identities to master sign systems for entire master-planned communities. Typical work includes monument signs, wayfinding programs, dimensional architectural lettering, hardscape, sculpture and public art, custom architectural metal, and water features.
Do you handle permitting and code compliance?
Yes. We prepare and shepherd local sign-code submissions, variances, master sign program approvals, and HOA reviews. Decades of relationships with municipalities across Central Florida and beyond keep approvals on schedule.
Do you only work in Florida?
No. Envirographics is based in Winter Park and Orlando but has delivered projects across the United States and internationally — including work in Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Sint Maarten. Our crews install across the U.S. and internationally.
Do you provide both design and fabrication, or just design?
Both. Envirographics is a single-source design and production studio. The same team is responsible from the first concept sketch through fabrication, permitting, installation, and long-term maintenance. There is no hand-off where design intent gets lost.
What is a Master Sign System?
A Master Sign System is a comprehensive sign program for a master-planned development, mixed-use center, or campus. It defines the sign families, hierarchy, design intent, and code documents that govern every primary identification, tenant blade, monument, and wayfinding sign across the entire project — often governing the site for decades as new buildings come online. See examples in our Master Sign Systems case studies.
What are Relocation & Compliance Cost Assessments?
Professional assessments for the relocation of existing signage, architectural landscape features, and site identity elements impacted by eminent domain, roadway expansion, redevelopment, or changing zoning requirements. Deliverables include existing conditions evaluation, relocation feasibility review, zoning and compliance impact analysis, and cost assessments for relocation and reconstruction. We work with attorneys, property owners, developers, and consultants to document the real-world impacts. See full description ›
How long does a typical project take?
It varies widely. A single monument sign — design through install — typically runs three to six months including permitting. A full master sign system for a mixed-use development can run a year or more from concept through final installation. We provide a realistic timeline as part of every proposal and stay engaged afterward for change orders and additions.
Do you work with architects and landscape architects?
Yes, this is most of our work. Envirographics is typically brought in by developers, architects, landscape architects, or owners during early design. The earlier we are engaged, the more cleanly the signage and environmental graphics integrate with the architecture and site.
Are you a member of any professional organizations?
Yes. Bruce Kaiser is a member of the Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD), the international community of professionals working at the intersection of communication design and the built environment.
